    In February 2011, a party of 42, made up of Energy Institute (EI) students from Newcastle University and members from the EI North Eastern branch, undertook an educational visit to the largest man-made water reservoir in Britain.

    The EI North Eastern branch is delighted to award this year's PITANE trophy to Miss Binta Adama from Teesside University. This annual award recognises the importance of safety in the petroleum sector and is presented for the best student 'safety' project.
