Judging procedures
Initially, the core judge for each Award category will select the top four entries. The judge will consider the submitted summary of up to 1,000 words describing each project under five headings:
- Background - reasons behind the project concept
- Aims - what the project was designed to achieve
- Description and development - actions taken to carry out the project
- Impact and benefits - goal achieved through completion of project
- Reasons - why the project should be considered for the appropriate award.
Judges will also consider separate criteria for each of the Award categories. Please follow this link http://www.energyinst.org/events/ei-awards/categories for more information
In the second judging stage, the core judge will present his or her recommendations to a judging panel, consisting of leading energy professionals.
The general judging panel will meet in the autumn to choose one winner in each award category. The winners will be selected on the basis of the 1,000 word synopses and how well they meet the judging criteria.
The entries for EI Awards 2012 is now open.
