Meeting the UK 2020 green energy targets: How can biofuels contribute?

The European demand for biofuels is predicted to more than double in the next few years as the EU moves to meet its 2020 obligations under the Renewable Energy Directive.

This seminar will identify the opportunities and challenges for crop producers, biofuel manufacturers and suppliers to sustainably meet this increasing demand.

Mr Tim Yeo MP, Energy and Climate Change Committee Chairmanwill speak and lead a discussion on how the farmers, refineries, process technology providers, automotive industry and government can work together towards the renewable transport fuel obligation.

The National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX) running for 30 years is the UK’s leading energy, procurement and renewables event, and is well positioned to offer innovative technology and tackle new challenges in the energy market.  NEMEX brings together energy executives and decision makers across a range of industries, all shaping UK businesses’ approach to the energy crisis.

NEMEX 2012 will showcase the latest advances in renewable energy products, energy management systems, and energy efficient technologies.  It will also give visitors access to industry experts in an extensive seminar programme, supported by a uniquely experienced steering group which includes ESTA, EiBI, Black and Veatch and the Energy Institute.

The 2011 show attracted just 9,003 attendees, with numbers expected to rise in 2012.
