Professional Development programme

This year IP Week is running an exclusive professional development programme for graduate members. The programme is aimed at members in the first few years of their career in the oil and gas sector and will include sessions designed to help participants plan the next stages of their career and get the most from their time at the conference. Participants will also have access to the IP week conference programme where they can network with senior industry figures.

Sessions will include:

• An introductory breakfast – a chance to meet the other participants and find out how to get the most from your time at the conference.
• Improve your networking skills – a short session with networking tips followed by an invitation to the Monday night drinks reception to practice your skills.
• My career Q&A sessions – a chance to question conference speakers in an informal session and find out what advice they would give people starting out in the sector.
• CPD and professional membership – Energy Institute staff let you know how to plan your CPD and how you can upgrade your membership to professional level.
• A company view – hear from a major company’s HR team and find out what they are looking when they recruit and how you can set yourself on the right career path from the start.

How to apply

Graduate members of the EI are able to book at a significantly reduced rate of £110 (+VAT) for a day session or £300 (+VAT) for the week of conferences. This can be booked via the standard IP Week booking form available here.
