The EI Singapore branch will be hosting their Annual General Meeting following by a presentation entitled 'Nokia Reinvented'.

The AGM will commence promptly at 6.30pm and will immediately be followed by the evening presentation and discussion. The most important task at the AGM will be voting in the branch officers and steering committee for the year, so please arrive promptly to support this process.

Following the AGM a presentation (around 7pm) will be given by Mr Martin Hauske, Regional Energy Sector Leader of Nokia. Martin’s presentation, entitled “Nokia reinvented” will focus on summarising the company’s new strategy aimed at developing innovative solutions for the utilisation of existing assets and new technologies for the improvement and modernisation of communications’ networks utilised throughout the energy value chain. As has been discussed previously, effective digitalisation and the handling of ever-more complex data-sets lies at the heart of the energy transition process underway and remaining competitive within the increasingly complex and diverse energy systems in which energy companies must operate in the future. Securing and managing appropriate network availability is key.

Nokia is actively engaged in projects aimed at optimizing energy use through both traditional network infrastructure as well as making the most of new technology solutions utilising renewable energy technology both within the context of national grid infrastructure and decentralised solutions for remoter locations.

At the end of the presentation and questions / discussion, drinks and snacks will be provided by KPMG at the newly re-furbished KPMG Club.

This event is free of charge but please register your place via the EI website.
