'Chartered status is a
Energy workers with professional recognition have improved job prospects, a new survey suggests.
Those with chartered status receive higher salaries, improved job security and increased work-life balance, according to the latest Hays Energy “Salary and Benefits Guide”, which surveyed more than 1,000 energy professionals.

Some qualifications belong to our partners who grant us a licence to award their titles: Engineering Council, Science Council and Society for the Environment and some – Chartered Energy Engineer, Chartered Energy Manager, Chartered Petroleum Engineer – are exclusive to the Energy Institute.
All are available with an EI grade of professional membership (Fellow FEI, Member MEI, Technician TMEI) to those who qualify. You can apply direct if you are not a member of the EI, or you can apply to upgrade your EI membership from Affiliate or Graduate grades.
