Knowledge and Information Manager

Are you interested in working in a library and knowledge service with special emphasis on developing digital resources, including the EI’s eLibrary?

Do you want to be part of an organisation supporting people working across the energy industry and directly tackling climate change?

If so, we want to hear from you!

The Energy Institute (EI) is the professional membership body bringing global energy expertise together. We gather and share essential knowledge about energy, the skills that help us use it more wisely, and the good practice that keeps it safe and secure. We articulate the voice of energy experts, taking the know-how of our 20,000 members from 120 countries to the heart of the public debate. And we’re an independent, not-for-profit, safe space for evidence-based collaboration, an honest broker between industry, academia and policy makers.

We are seeking a Knowledge and Information Manager to provide an accessible knowledge, information and library service. In this role, you will oversee the management of the physical library resources while guiding the service towards a fully-digital approach, and lead team members in the fulfilling the objectives of the Knowledge Service. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in working with both hardcopy and particularly digital library collections, working with library management software, strong inter-personal and team working skills, and a demonstrable interest in key energy issues.

Salary range £33,000 to £36,500 p.a negotiable based on experience, plus benefits.
