Publishing Officer

The EI is seeking to appoint a Publishing Officer to work within a small, busy team.

Salary: Up to £23,000 per annum plus benefits

The Energy Institute (EI) is the chartered professional membership body bringing global energy expertise together. We gather and share essential knowledge about energy, the skills that are helping us use it more wisely, and the good practice that keeps it safe and secure.

The EI is seeking to appoint a Publishing Officer to work within a small, busy team. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the production and marketing processes for EI Technical Publications and IP Test Methods run smoothly. You will liaise with typesetters and suppliers to ensure EI publications are produced to the highest editorial and design standards, on time and within budget. You will also act as a primary contact point for customer enquiries and our book distributor.

The successful candidate needs to be organised and possess excellent attention to detail, communication and administrative skills. Ideally, they should be a team player that can work with minimum supervision. Knowledge of print/production processes, marketing processes, proof-reading and a working knowledge of Adobe InDesign would be advantageous, but are not essential.
