What you’ll do:
This role is part of our friendly Membership & Accreditation team. We manage everything relating to membership and professional development support for members, from students through to fellows. You will be managing and coordinating all matters relating to the accreditation of learning programmes in universities and companies.
Main responsibilities will include:
- To respond to enquiries about the accreditation and approvals services offered by the EI, identifying those opportunities which should be taken forward, in line with the EI strategy and available resources.
- To identify and target learning organisations which might be suitable for Learning Affiliate status.
- To develop our partnerships with Learning Affiliate organisations,
- ensuring effective onboarding, regular engagement and maximising retention
- encouraging staff and students to take up membership and become fully involved in the ‘life’ of the EI.
- widening our reach to bring more apprentices into EI membership
- To manage accreditation and approvals application processes,
- planning the annual accreditation schedule
- checking incoming applications and liaising with universities
- organising and attending accreditation and approval visits
- preparing post-visit reports
- monitoring post accreditation/approval actions to ensure that requirements placed upon institutions are met in the appropriate timeframe.
- To ensure that clear and appropriate records are kept relating to accreditations and approvals, and that accurate information about the status of current and past programmes is available to visitors to the EI website.
- To provide guidance and support to the Accreditation and Approvals Panel, ensuring that
- all Panel members are appropriately briefed and trained, and that there is appropriate recruitment and succession planning.
- meetings are well prepared, minuted and that actions agreed are taken forward and completed.
- To ensure that accreditation/approvals processes, policy, procedures and documents are clear, up to date and compliant with the requirements of the bodies through whom the EI holds a licence.
- To coordinate the Learning Affiliate annual renewal process.
- To contribute to the promotion of the EI’s accreditation services and the Learning Affiliate offer, ensuring that guidance materials and web pages are up to date and continuously improved.
- To provide reports and statistics on accreditation activities.
- To give presentations to students, institution staff and others as may be required.
- To represent the EI at events, exhibitions and conferences as appropriate.
Person specification:
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience of accreditation, quality assurance and/or approvals processes
- Experience of working in a membership, careers or professional development role or similar
- Work with committee members and volunteers
- Experience of running systems and following processes
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write communications in clear, plain English
- Able to provide helpful, professional and diplomatic advice to a range of audiences
- Experience of working in a team and autonomously
- Use of CRM systems
- Competent with MS Office
Knowledge, skills and attributes

Some travel will be required to conduct accreditation visits, both in the UK and internationally.
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
