Message from the new Chairman, David Talbot
I was appointed as Regional Chair for the Humber Branch of the Energy Institute at the AGM on 30 June 2017. I am really pleased to be able to take on this important role and head the Branch in the next stage of its development. I believe that my position as CEO of CATCH will help to support the Humber Branch of the EI, as CATCH brings together a membership of over 400 companies in the Humber region supporting the ‘Energy Estuary’. We also play an important role in supporting local authorities, the Humber LEP and sector bodies in terms of developing the strategy for the region.
I have already visited the EI Head Office to discuss their vision and to find out what they can do to support us. We shared ideas on how we can work together and there are many exciting opportunities to take the branch forward.
I look forward to the challenges of this fascinating role and to meeting as many of the members in the region as I can.
