Green Energy Consulting - Senior Energy Consultant

Salary/Package: £18,000 - £36,000

Hours: Full/Part time

Office based - Energy Consultant
An Energy Consultant is needed to lead a small but growing team of energy/carbon reduction consultants to:

•    Deliver high value Investment Grade Energy Audits and related services – including ESOS Lead Assessor
•    Quality control of the work of other consultants
•    Recruit and train consultants. Responsible for
•    Delivery of high value Investment Grade Energy Audits and related services – including ESOS Lead Assessor
•    Quality control of the work of other consultants
•    Recruiting and training consultants Additional key tasks
•    Managing carbon/energy reduction projects for clients.
•    identifying business opportunities with clients and prospects
•    Supporting other members of staff to meet personal, team and company objectives.
•    Site surveys UK-wide to Energy Audits Standard BS EN 16247-1:2012 (being superseded by ISO 50002:2014)
•    Data analysis using a rigorous energy efficiency methodology
•    Report writing and reviewing
•    Proposal writing
•    Staff and client training
•    Phoning, emailing, visiting clients and prospects
•    Comply with ECA’s ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 14001 EMS

Person Specification Essential

•    Indepth experience as energy efficiency consultant.
•    Indepth experience of performing Investment Grade Energy Audits
•    Rigorous scientific energy efficiency approach.
•    Sound understanding of the laws of physics as they relate to building services
•    Efficient surveyor of buildings.
•    Experience of the installation and operation of a wide range of energy monitoring and recording equipment
•    Expert Auditor of Building Management Systems to maximise energy efficiency.
•    Advanced knowledge of most technologies used in industry and building services.
•    Flair for analysing data and interpreting the results.
•    Computer literate, with good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, email and web.
•    Ability to deliver work of high quality, to demanding timescales and the agreed scope of work.
•    Meticulous attention to detail.
•    Excellent communications skills at all levels in organisations – written and verbal including confident use of telephone.
•    Adaptable, enthusiastic, friendly, hardworking and client-focused.
•    Full UK driving licence and access to own transport. Desirable
•    Experience of providing energy consultancy services to both manufacturing and non- manufacturing sectors.
•    Experience of providing ISO 50001 related consultancy.
•    Knowledge of metering, monitoring and targeting hardware and software.
•    IPMVP qualified.
•    Experience of providing project management of energy reduction measures.
•    Business development experience.
•    Educated to degree level or above
