EI Awards 2014
Recognising the value of energy to society.
Celebrating the contribution the energy industry and its people make to progress, innovation and excellence.
Every year, the Energy Institute (EI) Awards recognise individuals and organisations in the global energy industry for setting new standards of excellence and innovation in their daily activities.
Over the past 200 years, world economies have become increasingly reliant on energy to sustain their growth. At a time when the energy industry faces the challenge of ensuring international security of supply whilst meeting climate change mitigation requirements, the people’s ability to develop and deliver the technologies and initiatives to succeed is critical.
As the leading professional body for the industry, delivering good practice and professionalism across all energy fields, the EI is ideally placed to run Awards celebrating energy professionals who have raised the benchmarks of competence and dedication to their work.
Entries are judged by a panel of energy professionals across nine different categories: Communication, Community Initiative, Energy Excellence, Environment, Innovation, Individual Achievement, Safety, Technology and, new for 2014, Young Energy Professional of the Year. Full details on the judging criteria for each category can be found on this website.
The EI Awards present an ideal opportunity to seek recognition for a particular project or an individual person, to celebrate and raise the profile of your achievements. The EI Awards recognise the contribution and value to society made every day by those working in the energy industry.
The EI Awards ceremony was held on 13 November 2014 at the Sheraton Park Lane, London.
