The Energy Institute Annual black tie gathering, hosted by the Aberdeen Highlands & Islands Branch, will take place on Thursday, 10th May 2018 at the Marcliffe Hotel & Spa, Aberdeen.

The popular dinner has an exceptional reputation and is regarded as one of North East Scotland’s premier industry events, being attended by some 400 business leaders every year. Not only does this event provide a fantastic networking opportunity but it also allows the EI to promote education opportunities, career opportunities for young people and raise awareness of all aspects of the energy landscape.

As always eminent and high-profile speakers from the industry as well as the wider world of politics will be presenting keynote speeches. For 2018, we are pleased to welcome Graham Stewart CEO of Faroe Petroleum plc and our after-dinner speaker, former Professional Scottish Footballer and Athlete, George McNeill.

Our Principal Speaker for the evening will be Tim Sebastian, who is currently the Moderator of Conflict Zone and The New Arab Debates, broadcast on Deutsche Welle. He was also the first presenter of the BBC’s HARDtalk programme for 8 years and won the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Richard Dimbleby award in 1981.

The financial profits from our annual dinner are reinvested back into the local branch to help support charitable causes. The opportunity to provide sponsorship for the VIP-drinks reception, the after dinner speaker, the sound system and several other categories is available. In return for this your organisation will receive visible recognition at the dinner as well as several other benefits. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if this is something you may be interested in.
