Energy security and energy transition in Southeast Europe
- 15 March 2018
- 16.00 - 19.00
61 New Cavendish Street
At the same time all countries in SE Europe (i.e. West Balkans, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey) are undergoing an energy transition, to be accelerated over the coming years, as they are gradually adopting decarbonization policies.
The issues arising for regional energy security as a result of the introduction of clean energy policies are also discussed together with the important legal and regulatory implications.
The presentation draws heavily on material included in IENE’s major study, published earlier this year, “The SE Europe Energy Outlook 2016/17” which was peer reviewed, among others by the IEA.
