EI Vice President Steve Holliday to chair government youth social action review
EI Vice President and former National Grid Chief Executive Steve Holliday has been appointed by the government as Chair of the Youth Full-Time Social Action review. This is an important review aimed at helping young people gain skills that will make them more employable and make a difference to society through increased participation in volunteering
Making the announcement, Minister for Civil Society Rob Wilson said: “Steve’s experience, accompanied by an understanding of the youth sector and the importance of volunteering, made him a great fit for the role. I am looking forward to working with him and the panel to move this review forward and encourage more young people to make a difference in their communities and wider society.”
The advisory panel will also include experts from relevant sectors and is expected to make recommendations to the Minister for Civil Society by October 2017.
