As the leading professional membership body serving the international energy industry, the Energy Institute (EI) promotes the safe, environmentally responsible and efficient supply and use of energy in all its forms and applications.
In 2004, the EI developed a Communications Advisory Panel (CAP) to provide a pool of expertise from which the EI could ensure that the depth and breadth of energy topics were addressed across its activities and on which the EI could draw for media relations and government consultations purposes.
The CAP consists of energy professionals with specific expertise across all sectors of the industry including energy policy, nuclear, energy efficiency, oil and gas, transport, and energy in buildings. This panel is responsible for presenting science-based facts on key issues affecting the international energy industry and engages with the media as appropriate.
