Associate Member of the EI (AMEI)
The Associate Member grade is for those who have completed their education and are intending to work towards becoming professionally qualified in energy. As an Associate Member, you are entitled to use the designatory letters AMEI, showing your expertise and commitment to continuing to develop your career in the sector.
Becoming an Associate Member puts you at the heart of the EI. You can take advantage of numerous opportunities to network via our Young Professionals Network, free access to our extensive online knowledge resources, discounted events, training courses and publications, and opportunities to connect with the wider profession in your area via your local branch, plus whole host of other benefits.You'll also receive one of our monthly magazines, Energy World or Petroleum Review, delivered direct to your door, and regular news bulletins and tips on how to progress your career.
When you are ready, we can also support you in getting the qualifications that employers look for, including Member of the EI (MEI), Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, Chartered Energy Manager, Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Scientist. Many of our members set themselves a personal goal to become a professional member or gain a professional registration (for example, a chartered title) within four or five years.
£60 annual fee if you have less than five years experience since graduation and £110 if you have been working for five years or more.
