The Northern Ireland branch of the Energy Institute (EI) would like to invite you to attend its 58th Annual Dinner, taking place on Wednesday 20th March 2019 at the Europa Hotel, Belfast.


This black tie dinner is a key date in the energy sector calendar in Northern Ireland, and provides an excellent platform for networking.

Speakers

Keynote Speaker: Professor Mark Gillan BEng PhD FRAeS CEng – Autonomous Sailing Vessel (ASV) Project Lead

Northern Ireland born Mark is the Head of Innovation at Artemis Technologies and leads the Autonomous Sailing Vessel (ASV) project. Mark is former Head of Vehicle Performance at Red Bull Racing, Head of Aerodynamics at Toyota F1, Chief
Operations Engineer at Williams F1, Director of Advanced Technology at MTS Systems Corporation and CEO of Wavepower. 

His connections with Bombardier and Queen’s University Belfast, his technological expertise and his familiarisation with the rich aerospace and maritime heritage of Belfast makes him the perfect fit to help Artemis Technologies in its pursuit for new green technologies and zero-emission vessels.

This year we will have a special guest speaker from PIPS Charity, a local Belfast based Charity, speaking on the importance of good mental health. There will be collection envelopes on the table and the total amount raised at the dinner will be matched by our sponsor this year Action Renewables
