Governments are forcing companies to account for their Greenhouse gas emissions – but Why? And How?

This event will look at the legal drivers and other benefits of GHG Accounting and Carbon Footprinting, as well as advice as to how to approach this task.

The Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) legislation came into effect from 1st April 2019.  This requires all quoted companies, large businesses (as defined by the Companies Act) and large Limited Liability Partnerships to publicly report UK Energy and Carbon within their Directors report. SECR aims to align pre-existing initiatives such as the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting (MGHG).
