About this course:

This online course covers the fundamental energy principles around heat transfer and fossil fuel combustion. It acts as a recap of key scientific principles such as laws of thermodynamics, modes of heat transfer, fossil fuel combustion and combustion efficiency measurements allowing experienced professionals to refresh their knowledge on these core areas.

This course is self-paced and can be started at any time.

Qualification:

Successful completion of this course results in the EI Level 3 Certificate in Energy Fundamentals.

This course also forms one of the modules of the EI's longer Level 3: Advanced Energy Manager course and qualification. If you would like to complete the full Level 3 qualification, please visit the full course page to book.

Assessment:

This course is assessed via a short online test.

Who should take this course:

This course is recommended for those with 2 or more years of experience in energy management. Although there are no official prerequisites, it is recommended that you have at least A-level maths or equivalent.
