About the event:

Following the successful 2019 conference set around the Energy Institute Process Safety Management Framework, the focus of the 2021 conference will be asset management for upstream oil and gas facilities, process intensive industries and utilities. The event will be set around the context of an effective asset management framework based on the ISO 55000 series of standards.

The event will define the asset life cycle and consider asset management for late life and for diversified assets, such as those that produce, store or transport electricity, hydrogen and carbon dioxide, in support of the industry’s decarbonisation objective. The conference will feature the need for effective asset management and integrity in the control and mitigation of major accident hazards, as a requirement for high-hazard industry sectors.

This timely conference will explore the latest industry thinking, best practice, research, lessons learnt and innovation (e.g. application of internet of things, robotics and analytics) with relevance to asset management of oil and gas assets. To promote wider knowledge transfer, the conference will also feature asset management speakers from outside the energy industry.

This two-day event will commence at the strategic level of asset management, with the intent of defining high-level objectives and value. The conference will have presentations focusing on six topics, including case studies and enablers, which should facilitate delegates to implement asset management for oil and gas assets.

Abstracts are welcome on the following themes, and those that demonstrate management of major accident hazards through the implementation of an ISO55000 Asset Management framework are particularly welcome.
