This event will take the form of both a set of presentations and a panel discussion featuring both specialists in the subject of effectively employing PWD’s and an introduction to TomoWork, an organisation that BP has been supporting, whose aim is to foster inclusion of PWD’s in the workforce.

Event details

Organized by Energy Institute in partnership with TomoWork and supported by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), this event is kindly sponsored by BP Singapore and will take place at their offices on Tuesday 11th Feb from 12.00 - 2.00pm. 

This event will take the form of both a set of presentations and a panel discussion featuring specialists in the subject of effectively employing PWD’s.  It will also introduce TomoWork, an organisation that BP has been supporting, whose aim is to foster inclusion of PWD’s in the workforce.  The discussion will address what it takes to create greater opportunity within an organisation’s premises as well as the opportunity to work with PWDs utilizing co-working spaces specifically set up for this purpose.

A buffet lunch will be served during the event.

Further information:
The 10th ASEAN Para Games will be hosted in the Philippines in March 2020.  Over 60 Singaporean para-athletes are expected to partake in the Games, and BP is a proud partner of the Singapore National Paralympic Council.  In August, Tokyo will host the Paralympic Games.

In the world of sports, persons with disabilities (PWDs) have shown great resilience and performance.  It is time for the corporates to empower PWDs to perform in business settings.  In this event, organized by the Energy Institute in partnership with BP and TomoWork, we will feature some of the PWDs who are overcoming obstacles in life and jobs.  In addition, we have invited leading figures actively working on PWD employment issues to discuss the latest challenges and measures to create more employment opportunity within the energy sector and here in Singapore.
