EI membersHeadquartered in Nigeria, the Energy Institute (EI) Africa serves as the regional hub for the Energy Institute across the continent, connecting professionals to the EI’s global network. It brings together energy practitioners, policymakers, academics, and students who are committed to shaping a secure and sustainable energy future.
Created in 2010, EI Nigeria has established itself as a reliable platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange within Nigeria’s energy sector. Its activities span across oil and gas, power, renewables, technology and climate-focused solutions. The community plays a unique role by bridging local industry expertise with EI’s global network of over 20,000 members in 100+ countries, ensuring Nigerian voices and perspectives are well represented on the international stage.
Each year, the community delivers a diverse calendar of professional events, ranging from high-level executive sessions to conferences and networking forums. These platforms provide opportunities for:
- Knowledge exchange between professionals at all career stages.
- Engagement with policymakers and regulators on emerging energy issues.
- Showcasing innovations and best practices across the sector.
- Developing the skills and careers of young professionals and students.
EI Nigeria also plays an advocacy role by facilitating industry dialogue on Nigeria’s evolving energy transition pathway, contributing insights that influence sectoral policy, corporate strategy and professional development.
In a time when Africa’s energy future is being redefined, our community serves as a bridge between global best practices and local realities, helping professionals and organisations alike to thrive. Through our activities, we empower members to contribute meaningfully to the region's energy development and to the broader goals of sustainability, innovation and inclusion.
