As the world looks to recover from the impact of coronavirus on our lives, livelihoods and economies, governments around the world have a chance to “build back better”. In November 2020, the UK Government set out it’s ten-point plan to “build back better” and invest in making the UK a global leader in green technologies. This event will focus on point number three of the ten-point plan: delivering new and advanced nuclear power.
This event will include expert speakers on the following topics:
- Why Net Zero needs nuclear
- Jobs and skills opportunities, with a focus on the East of England
- The hydrogen economy and the role of nuclear
Following the panellists’ presentations, there will be a chance for the audience to ask questions as part of a discussion that will be moderated by the chair.

"The difficult economic situation that we are going through must push loss-adjusting firms, based in Morocco, to open up more internationally. However, gaining the trust of the major players in the insurance industry, particularly in London, Paris or Munich, is not an easy task. "Before the course, I had a little professional experience in domestic zero-carbon energy technology but I was inexperienced in any other theory and practical topic, audits etc. This provided me with the building blocks to understand this, including the calculations, quickly. The course tutor, Chris was excellent in his teaching, knowledge and support. He made it easy to learn with his patient and insightful teaching style and very clear instructions. Chris provides individual support throughout the course and beyond which is incredibly valuable for someone like myself who is fairly new to the energy industry.
