Since the past decades, climate changes had posed significant impacts on the environment, social, economy and politics of all nations across the globe. The conventional way of exploiting and utilizing energy for social-economic growth would aggravate global warming and climate changes. New paradigm on energy exploitation and utilization is crucial to ensure sustainable growth for the future generations.

The objective of this forum is to highlight Malaysian government initiatives on climate change mitigation and adaptation with respect to Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS), industrial involvement in CO2 management and global development on CCUS.

Over the half-day of this webinar-forum, our goal is to initiate a conversation on the new paradigm of energy exploitation and utilisation to ensure sustainable growth of the future generation. The event is expected to be attended by audiences from academia, industries, and government agencies.

In particular, the topic of webinar and forum are as follows:
• Malaysia’s policy position on climate change and the catalytic and enabling roles of Malaysian Green Technology & Climate Change Corporation (MGTC)
• Addressing CO2 challenges in Malaysia’s E&P industry
• Developing CCUS as an essential new global infrastructure class of the future
