Energy Centre, Clydebank, G81 1BF

Join the Young Professionals Network for Southern Scotland for a site visit to the Queen’s Quay River Source Heat Pump Project on 31st August!

This innovative project utilises heat from the River Clyde to heat local homes and businesses. This is a great opportunity to see the UK’s largest water source heat pump in action and the visit is completely free (excluding travel). It’s a short train journey from Glasgow Central Station. We have limited places available for the visit, so make sure to sign up quick to book your spot.

The visit will involve a tour of the West Dunbartonshire Council’s Energy Centre that provides heating via a heat network to local housing, businesses and public building. The tour of the site facilities will be undertaken by STAR refrigeration, the original equipment manufacturer of the 2x 2MW heat pumps supplied as the main renewable heating source for the project sourcing heat from Glasgow’s River Clyde.

Transport: Train to Clydebank – 10 minute walk to facility. Further information nearer the time regarding times and where to meet
