This is a ‘learn’ event hosted by the EIYPN, to give young professionals a short masterclass on how to design an offshore oil & gas production and processing facility. No prior engineering or design knowledge is required – this is a high-level event for beginners.
The audience will split into 3 sub-groups and rotate around three, 30-minute workshops delivered by subject matter experts on the topics of subsea, structures and topsides.
The workshops will be a 10-minute presentation of design fundamentals for that area, followed by a 20-minute beginners design activity.
Attendees will rotate around the 3 workshops (1.5 hours total) and then will group together for 1 hour of networking and light refreshments at the end.

"The difficult economic situation that we are going through must push loss-adjusting firms, based in Morocco, to open up more internationally. However, gaining the trust of the major players in the insurance industry, particularly in London, Paris or Munich, is not an easy task. "Before the course, I had a little professional experience in domestic zero-carbon energy technology but I was inexperienced in any other theory and practical topic, audits etc. This provided me with the building blocks to understand this, including the calculations, quickly.
