Reliable prediction of fluid behaviour is essential for the safe and efficient design of CO₂ transportation, compression, processing, and storage infrastructure.

This webinar will present the findings from a newly published experimental and modelling study investigating a representative CO₂-rich multicomponent mixture relevant to CCUS applications. The study generated a comprehensive dataset covering density, vapour–liquid equilibrium (VLE), bubble and dew points, speed of sound, water content, dynamic viscosity, and equilibrium with solid CO₂ over a wide range of operating conditions.

Participants will gain insights into the experimental methods used, the challenges of measuring fluid properties for complex CO₂-rich mixtures, and the performance of several industry-relevant thermodynamic models when benchmarked against the experimental data. The webinar will also discuss the implications of the findings for model selection, process design, flow assurance, and future CCUS developments.
