The Energy Institute's London and Home Counties YPN is a community of energy enthusiasts dedicated to creating spaces for dialogue, connection and learning. The network is run by a committee of 14 volunteers, supported by a group of ambassadors.

We organise not-for-profit seminars, panel discussions and workshops across a variety of topics related to the energy industry. Our events are aimed at bringing together young energy professionals who are passionate about driving positive change in the sector. We host one panel event per month, and have many additional socials, site visits and sponsor companies' events across the year.

Our core values can be summarised in three pillars:

We also thank our partners for supporting our events and we look forward to creating new partnerships to deliver more ambitious initiatives.

If you are a company looking to partner with young professionals to support their development and increase your visibility, please do reach out to us at [email protected]

The London and Home Counties YPN community is a unique space in London. The enthusiasm and dedication of our members and elected committee representatives are what drive all of our activities. We have a good mix between long-standing members and new ones, with almost all of our events selling out in just a couple of weeks, demonstrating the strong interest in energy transition and opportunities for real-life connections with like-minded people.

The new committee is elected for a yearly mandate by the current committee members. Applications usually open around May-June. Other ways of getting involved are becoming an ambassador. Selections for this position take place once a year, around September-October.

Great question, networking, mentorship, interacting with leaders are but a few benefits, there are much more like conference discounts, attend high-quality events, close-knit community.

We are open to all kinds of partnerships that help us organise events in line with our three core values. This includes longer-term partnerships (eg one year), where the partner company can become our official sponsor for the year. It also includes one-off partnerships for a specific event, in the form of a financial contribution or providing a venue to host an event. As a general rule, we are happy to discuss what fits your needs so please do reach out to us for more information.
