Nigeria YPN
Officially established in 2019 and headquartered in Lagos, the Nigeria YPN supports the development and engagement of early-career professionals across Nigeria’s energy sector by providing structured opportunities for:
- Technical learning.
- Peer networking.
- Industry engagement.
- Professional development.
- Mentorship and career progression.
We deliver a focused annual programme of activities designed to enhance both technical capability and professional growth. These include:
- Technical and knowledge events: Workshops, webinars and panel discussions covering key developments across the energy value chain, including oil and gas, power, renewables, sustainability, finance and policy.
- Career development sessions: Events focused on employability, leadership skills, professional registration pathways and continuing professional development (CPD).
- Mentorship initiatives: Structured and informal mentoring opportunities that connect early-career professionals with experienced industry practitioners.
- Industry networking sessions: Events that enable meaningful engagement between young professionals and senior leaders in the industry, such as our Time Out with the CEO event.
Members benefit from access to EI resources, professional development opportunities and engagement with a respected global professional body. Membership is open to:
- Early-career professionals in the energy industry.
- Graduates and postgraduate students pursuing energy-related disciplines.
