The “Get Stuff Done with Deep Work” workshop is focused on how to work smarter, not harder! Deep Work is defined as “professional activity performed in a state of distraction-free concentration that push your cognitive capabilities to their limit’ (Cal Newport). In this session we learn some of the strategies that enable the right conditions for Deep Work to take place.

The 45 minutes session will discuss the following topics:

  1. Why it’s hard to do Deep Work?
  2. Difference between Shallow & Deep Work  
  3. How to work Deep  
  4. How to work Asynchronously
  5. Q&A

Speaker
  • Nicole Barstow, Innovation Culture Designer – EY MENA
Nicole has several years of experience in Innovation, Leadership Development and Performance. She has worked for start-ups and large corporates in IT, Telecommunications, Retail, Digital Banking & Financial Services. Her work has spanned across Sydney, London, Hong Kong and now in Dubai. She’s addicted to Netflix, making playlists on Spotify, travel, and eating one Tim Tam, (which is a chocolate Australian biscuit) every night!
