18:00 - 20:00 UK Time
Town and County Hall at Aberdeen City Townhouse, Broad Street/Union Street, Aberdeen, AB10 1AQ
Aberdeen is known to many as the oil and gas capital of Europe, but the industry has not always been the centre of the city.
Now we live and work in complicated times, where there is intense pressure to move away from hydrocarbons at the same time as there is to increase domestic fuel production. Regardless of this, the North Sea basin is declining and some question the richness of Aberdeen’s future.
‘Transition in action: a spotlight on Aberdeen’ will be an evening centred on the energy transition and the regenerative nature of Aberdeen. We will discuss the past, present and future of Aberdeen and why this is an exciting place to live and work as a young energy professional.
The evening’s programme will begin with networking from 6pm, and the main event will begin at 6:30pm.
