About this course:
This online course provides an overview of the processes and procedures for ISO 50001. In this course, you will gain an introductory understanding of the key requirements of ISO 50001, and the continuous improvement cycle common in most international standards. The course will also review the benefits of integrating energy management into existing management systems such as ISO 90001 and ISO 14001.
This course is self-paced and can be started at any time.
Qualification:
Successful completion of this course results in the EI Level 2 Certificate in Energy Management Systems and Standards: ISO 50001.
This course also forms one of the modules of the EI's longer Level 2: Energy Management Professional course and qualification. If you would like to complete the full Level 2 qualification, please visit the full course page to book.
Assessment:
This course is assessed via a short online test following the course.
Who should take this course:
This course is recommended for those with 1-2 years of experience in energy management. Although there are no official prerequisites, it is recommended that you have at least A-level maths or equivalent.

"Before the course, I had a little professional experience in domestic zero-carbon energy technology but I was inexperienced in any other theory and practical topic, audits etc. This provided me with the building blocks to understand this, including the calculations, quickly.
