EI3606-5 WTSSR support procedure five: Temporary addition of alternative safe systems of work

Overview:

The wind turbine system safety rules are provided to ensure that persons working on plant and apparatus to which these safety rules apply are safeguarded from hazards arising from the electro-mechanical system.

The safety rules, which are mandatory, are made up of general provisions and basic safety rules together with sections dealing with procedures for approved written procedures and keys, responsibilities of persons and definitions. They are supported by other mandatory and guidance documents.

This procedure details the process to temporarily apply a contractor alternative safe system of work to existing plant/apparatus that is already under a company's wind turbine system safety rules.
