Overview:

The wind turbine system safety rules are provided to ensure that persons working on plant and apparatus to which these safety rules apply are safeguarded from hazards arising from the electro-mechanical system.

The safety rules, which are mandatory, are made up of general provisions and basic safety rules together with sections dealing with procedures for approved written procedures and keys, responsibilities of persons and definitions. They are supported by other mandatory and guidance documents.

The wind turbine system safety rules, general provision four, requires the establishment of an approved procedure for dealing with objections on safety reasons to the application of the rules. This procedure establishes that approved procedure.
