3475 Guidance for the management of mooring integrity part 1: chain systems and their components

Overview:

The intention of this publication is to provide guidance on the management of mooring integrity for chain systems and their components in floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units to facilitate good practice throughout the industry.
It is anticipated that following the guidelines stipulated in this publication will assist those involved in the management of mooring integrity.
Whilst written in the context of the United Kingdom (UK) legislative and regulatory framework, the principles set out in this publication can similarly be applied in other countries, provided national and local statutory requirements are complied with. Where the requirements differ, the more stringent should be adopted.
