EI 3623 Remote visual inspection volume one: Good practice guidance – visual inspection using borescopes aims to present good practices in borescope inspection of high hazard assets. It describes the key stages of borescope inspection that are common to most types of high hazard asset inspections. It considers the different types of borescope equipment that are available, managing and evaluating borescope inspections, and what actions to consider to minimise human failure and maximise performance by assessing the human interactions with the equipment.  As such this guidance will assist those with responsibilities to plan, carry out and evaluate borescope inspections for asset integrity of high hazard assets.
