Overview:
IP 200 provides information related to the algorithm and implementation procedure for correcting temperature and pressure effects on the density and volume of liquid hydrocarbons, as outlined in API MPMS Chapter 11.1, Physical Properties Data – Temperature and Pressure Volume Correction Factors for Generalized Crude Oils, Refined Products, and Lubricating Oils. The algorithms and implementation procedures are published in an adjunct (supplementary) product known as the Adjunct for Volume Correction Factors (VCF).
