Scope
This document specifies a method of test for the determination of the fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) content of aviation turbine fuels at levels of 1 mg/kg to 100 mg/kg using solid phase extraction (SPE) followed by gas chromatography.
NOTE 1 - Higher concentrations may be determined by adjusting the sample aliquot taken or by appropriate dilution.
NOTE 2 - For the purposes of this standard FAME is as defined in EN 14103.
NOTE 3 - For the purposes of this standard, the terms "% (m/m)" and "% (V/V)" are used to represent respectively the mass fraction and the volume fraction.
