Overview:

The data collected in 2020 has been analysed and presented in this report, which builds on the 2019 Data report, allowing the industry as a whole to evaluate its performance through the publication of LTIF and TRIR benchmark metrics. This report provides a reference for offshore wind health and safety and continues to be a useful tool for industry to document the evolution and improvements in the sector's performance.

Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, 2020 saw an increase of almost 50% in the construction hours at new offshore wind sites built by members of G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organisation (G+).

The 2020 G+ Incident Data Report highlights the lowest number of high potential incidents since 2015, as well as a 19% reduction in high potential incidents and injuries from 2019. 2020 also saw the lowest number of recordable injuries, with less than 100 recordable injuries occurring for the first time since G+ benchmarking began.
