This document is aimed at operators of filling stations and those responsible for deciding whether or not to install electric vehicle charging equipment at filling stations.

The Service Station Panel of the EI considered that dedicated guidance for operators of filling stations was required, distilling the key considerations involved in deciding whether or not to install electric vehicle charging equipment at filling stations. This document is intended to provide that guidance. It is not intended to provide guidance for those responsible for planning or designing electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment installations, or for those installing EV charging equipment.
