Personal Statement
I am passionate about energy efficiency and climate change mitigation and committed to making a difference by optimising the way buildings are operated and maintained. My passion can be demonstrated in my voluntary work with the IET having supported the Guide to Energy Management in the Built Environment publication and my ongoing support to the BSI ISO 50001 committees and the Southern Branch of the Energy Institute.
I have over 40 years’ engineering experience across a wide range of disciplines, coupled with accredited building services and energy efficiency professional qualifications. I currently lead a team of energy and carbon managers delivering various forms of compliance auditing, M&V and delivery of solutions across a wide portfolio.
I have extensive ESOS experience, being involved in the initial consultancy, conducting ESOS audits (identifying and developing practical and cost-effective energy reduction opportunities), acting as a Lead Assessor now leading a team delivering end-to-end ESOS solutions. During Phase 3 we have nearly 30 clients across many sectors, delivering over 200 site audits. Being involved in the consultancy prior to the Phase 3 deadline, and with the teams’ skill sets, our ESOS offering already satisfies the bulk of the recommendations.
