What does it cost?
- EI membership is valid from 1 January – 31 December each year.
- Join this October and get 15 months of AMEI for the price of 12 – pay from as little as £5.33 a month.

Who can join?
- Energy professionals with at least 4 years’ experience in any area of the sector (including engineering, law, climate science, finance, data, and beyond)
- Individuals in responsible roles that require independent professional judgement, expertise, and leadership of projects, teams, or operations
Application timeline

- Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our Membership and Accreditation Team
- You’ll receive a decision within 8 weeks of submission

Who is it for?
Fellowship is for experienced professionals who have made a significant and sustained contribution to the energy sector or wider society. Fellows are:
- Leaders, innovators, or influencers driving change in energy
- Experts advancing knowledge, research, or policy
- Champions of sustainability, inclusivity, or professional development
- Professionals giving back through mentoring, leadership, or service
You only need to demonstrate achievement in one category, but you may apply against up to two.

If you join halfway through the membership year, we pro rate the fee, and if you are already a member, you just pay the difference for that part of the year remaining.
