This publication provides a balanced view of the risks and mitigations relating to switchgear located both internally and externally to wind turbines. Technicians have been found to be most at risk during low voltage (LV) switching and reenergisation following repairs, and SafetyOn has worked with the HSE to identify the root causes of incidents reported within the last five years and better understand the risks.
