Overview:

This handbook was compiled to enhance the awareness of valve integrity within the top-side and onshore activities of both the upstream and downstream petroleum industries. It is intended to supplement the Energy Institute publication “Guidelines for the integrity management of valves for the upstream and downstream industries”. Whereas the guidance document is intended to be used by a wide range of operations, engineering and maintenance personnel, the handbook is primarily aimed at those working on site who are operating and maintaining valves and who may not have a detailed technical knowledge of the issues involved.
