This document provides cargo measurement procedures for liquified natural gas (LNG) for use primarily by cargo inspectors and those instructing nominating cargo inspectors. It specifies procedures directed at minimising measurement losses and is an informative guide to LNG cargo transfers.

It focuses on bulk LNG transfers relevant to operations involving ocean going vessels and shore facilities, ship-to-ship transfers and discharge of LNG to a regassification vessel floating storage regassification unit (FSRU).
