Overview:
This standard describes a method for the determination of mono-aromatic and di-aromatic hydrocarbon contents in aviation kerosenes and petroleum distillates boiling in the range 50 °C to 300 °C. Based on the ILS, the test method is suitable for distillates containing 0,4 % (m/m) to 44,0 % (m/m) mono-aromatic hydrocarbons and 0,02 % (m/m) to 6,20 % (m/m) di-aromatic. Total aromatics 0.4 (%m/m) to 50 (%m/m) hydrocarbons as defined
by IP 367-1 (see note 2). Although this method generates results in m/m, results can also be quoted in v/v.
