Overview:

Scope: This standard specifies methods to determine the content of (propan-2-yl) benzene, also known as cumene, in petroleum distillates with a boiling range up to 300 °C. Samples containing high levels of unsaturated material such as cracked products may interfere with the analysis. Samples up to 1 % (m/m) cumene content may be measured.
