3438 Guidance on risk-based inspection for fixed steel offshore structures

Overview:

This guidance describes the objectives and principles of adopting an RBI strategy for inspecting substructures and topsides of offshore installations with fixed steel jackets.

The topsides structure text is largely applicable to other forms of platform including fixed concrete and floating structures. This guidance specifies where the RBI strategy is positioned within the overarching SIM process and Regulatory Framework for offshore installations managed within risk-based safety management regime.
