Guidance setting out what filling station employees should do in the event of an incident to reduce the impact both from a safety (DSEAR) and environmental perspective
The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) requires that an emergency action plan covering fire and explosion risks is in place. This ensures that a site operator reacts promptly and appropriately to an incident involving spillage, to reduce the impact. This poster details all relevant steps which a site manager should undertake in the event of an incident to reduce the impact both from a safety and environmental perspective.
Displaying this A4 informative poster in a retail filling station will help the site operator to be prepared and enable them to react quickly in the event of an incident. This may reduce the consequences of a petrol spillage, ensuring the safety of the public and potentially reducing significant clean-up costs.
This poster is also available in A3 format.
